Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil CAD Draftsman to join our team and prepare accurate design and shop drawings for roads and infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, and storm drainage networks, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Role Overview

As a Civil CAD Draftsman, you will work closely with civil and highway engineers to convert designs, sketches, and field survey data into accurate drawings that comply with approved specifications and authority requirements. You will prepare plans, profiles, cross sections, and utility network drawings, issue as-built drawings after execution, and update drawings based on review comments from engineers, consultants, and clients.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent with proven practical experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in roads or infrastructure drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of surveying, coordinates, and levels.
  • High accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare design and shop drawings for roads and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Draft plans, profiles, and cross sections for roads and intersections.
  • Prepare water, sewer, and storm drainage network drawings, including manholes and pavement details.
  • Convert field surveys and preliminary sketches into accurate digital drawings.
  • Coordinate utilities drawings and identify clashes.
  • Prepare As-Built drawings based on site data.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and clients.
  • Extract preliminary quantities from drawings as required.
  • Comply with approved standards and government authority requirements.
  • Organize and archive drawings and files per the document control system.
