IT is located in King Faisal University  Total area of the site is 120,000m²

The idea of establishing the Center comes in response to the need to create an appropriate scientific atmosphere to facilitate postgraduate research and related activities including meaningful and effective research projects.

The Center will encourage and facilitate scientific research in such areas as endemic diseases and environmental health problems in Eastern Province.  

The Center will also encourage doctors and other health professionals to pursue their graduate studies locally rather than leaving the Kingdom for graduate studies abroad
